The adult moth of this species has brown forewings each with variable dark markings including a dark crescent. The hindwings are pale brown. The wingspan is about 2.5 cms.

The species has been found in:

  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania,
  • South Australia, and
  • Western Australia.
