The forewings of the adult moth are pale grey, each with a pattern of dark markings, including a dark boomerang, sometimes outlined with white, near the middle. The hindwings are fawn, darkening at the margins, with dark veins. The wingspan is about 3.5 cms.

The species has been found in Australia in:

  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania, and
  • South Australia.
