The adult moths of this species have brown forewings each with a pale stripe along the costa, and a faint dark submarginal smudge. The hindwings are plain yellow. The face is off-white, The wingspan is about 2.5 cms.

The species has been found to occur in :

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
