The Caterpllars of this species are pale grey with a number of narrow brown lines along the body. The lines each side of the dorsal line have dark sections as they cross segment boundaries. The head is black with grey markings. The caterpillars are thought to feed on various species of
The adult moths have grey-brown forewings, each crossed by two or three narrow dark-edged orange wavy lines.
The hindwings are off-white, each with a dark grey comma by the base. The margins of all four wings are scalloped. The wingspan is about 4 cms.
The eggs are off-white and egg-shaped, and are laid in irregular clusters.
