The adult moths of this species have brown forewings, each crosed by some dark wiggly lines. There sometimes are some dark patches and/or a dumbell-shaped white spot between the first pair, and sometimes a pair of black spots between the second pair. The forewing margins are doubly recurved. The hindwings are brown with a pattern of dark markings. The wingspan is about 6 cms.
