The adult moth has brown forewings, each with a variety of markings including a wide dark marginal band, a small dark spot near the middle, and four dark spots on the costa. The hoindwing marking are similar to those of the forewings. All four wings have concave margins. The moth has a wing span of about 2.5 cms.

The species has been found in Australia in

  • Northern Territory, and
  • Queensland.

Turner originally placed the species in NOCTUINAE (NOCTUIDAE), but later it was moved to CATOCALINI (EREBINAE, EREBIDAE) The genus Raparna is inappropriate for this species, but a better one has yet to be found.
