The adult moths of this species have red or brown forewings with a dark pattern, each including two dark marks on the costa, and one near the tornus. The hindwings are plain red or brown. The wingspan is about 4 cms.

The genus Plecoptera is inappropriate for this species, but a replacement has yet to be found.
