This caterpillar is green with a pale brown head. The first two pairs of prolegs are atrophied. The caterpillar has been found feeding on

  • Medithella ( Celtis philippensis, CANNABACEAE ).

    The adult moth of this species has brown forewings with a bluish sheen. Each has a variable white spot, a vague dark patch near the middle, and two wavy transverse dark-edged pale lines. The hindwings are brown, each crossed by one dark-edged pale line. The forewing tips are recurved, and the forewing margins have a cusp. The wingspan is about 5 cms.

    The species has been found in

  • Moluccas, Indonesia,
  • New Guinea,

    and in Australia in

  • Queensland.

    This species is sometimes placed in SCOLIOPTERYGINAE.
