The adults of this species have forewings with a complex pattern of orange, brown, white and grey. The hindwings are a plain brown. The wingspan is about 1 cm.

The species has been found in

  • California,
  • Florida,
  • India,
  • Palestine,
  • Papeete, and
  • Taiwan,

    as well as across Australia, including :

  • Western Australia,
  • Northern Territory,
  • Queensland, and
  • New South Wales.
