The adult moths have black forewings which each pale stripes along the costa, a pale patch at the base, and a pale patch halfway along the hind-margin. The hindwings are pale brown. The head and thorax are off-white. Some of the scales can be erected on the forewing into tufts. The wingspan is about 1 cm.

The species has been found in :

  • New South Wales, and
  • Victoria.
