Macrobathra harmostis

The adult moths have black forewings each with a yellow-edged white band and two off-white patches on the costa. The hindwings are pale brown, darkening toward the wingtips. The head and thorax are brown. The distal halves of the antennae are off-white. The wingspan is about 1 cm.

The species has been found in

  • Western Australia,
  • Northern Territory,
  • Queensland, and
  • New South Wales.
