The adult moths of this species are brown with a subtle pattern of darker lines.
The eggs are laid loosely attached to the substrate, and are oval with a fine hexagonal ridge pattern. Their diameter is about 0.75 mm. Initially they are pale ,later becoming dark as hatching approaches.
