The wings of the adult moths of this species have a complex dark brown pattern. The margins of fore and hind wings appear corrugated. The undersides have a series of scalloped light and dark subterminal bands on each wing. The wingspan is up to about 14 cms.

The species occurs across south-east Asia, including:

  • Hong Kong,
  • India,
  • Singapore,
  • Taiwan,

    as well as in Australia in

  • Northern Territory.
