The adult moth of this species is basically rusty brown with a white line across each forewing, and a broad darker margin to each hindwing. The wingspan is about 5 cms. The moth has been noted to pierce fruit to suck the juice.

The species has been found in

  • Borneo,
  • Malaysia,
  • Sri Lanka,

    and also in Australia in

  • Queensland.
