The adult moths of this species have a complex pattern of orange, black, and brown on the forewings. Each hindwing is grey crossed by a pale dark-edged band, shading into something like the forewing pattern around the tornus. The wingspan is about 3 cms.

The moths have been found in:

  • Western Australia,
  • Northern Territory,
  • Queensland, and
  • New South Wales.
