The adult moth of this species has brown forewings, each with a broad dark transverse band. The hindwings are each dark brown, each with a narrow white sinuous transverse band, a frilly white extension to part of the margin. The wingspan is about 5 cms.

The species has been found in Australia in

  • Queensland, and
  • New South Wales.
