The adult moths of this species have dark brown forewings each with a wide white stripe along the middle. The hindwings are a translucent white. The labial palps are very prominent with spiky bristles. The wingspan is about 1.5 cms.

The species has been found in Australia in

  • Western Australia,
  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales, and
  • Tasmania.
