The adult moths of this species have grey wings with dark angular zig-zag lines. Underneath, the wings each have a characteristically shaped dark patch. The wingspan of the males is about 5 cms. The wingspan of the females is about 4 cms.

The species has been found in

  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
