The adult male moths typically have brown forewings each with some faint scroll markings, and two white flashes. The hindwings are plain brown. The wingspan of the male is about 9 cms. The male moths appear to have tripectinate antennae.

The adult female moths typically have grey forewings each with some faint scroll markings, and a faint pale broken irregular submarginal flash. The hindwings are plain grey. The wingspan of the female is about 10 cms. The female moths have thread-like antennae.
