The adult moth of this species has brown forewings each crossed by two fragmented black and white lines. The hindwings are plain pale brown. The wingspan is about 1.7 cms. The labial palps are long and held straight out in front of the head.

The species has been found in Australia in:

  • New South Wales, and
  • Tasmania.
