The adult moth of this species has pale brown forewings that have dark brown speckles, short diagonal brown marks along the costa and a variable large dark triangular patch on theeach hind-margin. The hindwings are plain brown. The wingspan is about 2 cm.

The species occurs in :

  • New Zealand,

    as well as in Australia in

  • Western Australia,
  • Northern Territory,
  • Queensland, and
  • New South Wales.
