This adult moth has yellow forewings with several dark brown bands across them. The brown bands have an iridescent blue shine which fades in dead specimens. The hindwings are plain brown. The wingspan is about 1.5 cms.

The species has been found in:

  • < Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
