This Caterpillar appears to cover its case with a series of gradually increasing length sticks, each aligned with the case axis, so that the case appears to taper to a narrow anal tip, like Lepidoscia arctiella, except that has cylindrical blocks of sticks, whereas this species has a spiral of sticks, giving a twisted left-handed helical appearance. The case grows to a length of about 3.5 cms.
