The adult moth of this species has rusty-brown forewings with a purplish sheen, each with a black-outline dark area near the middle of the wing, and several dark zigzag transverse lines. The hindwings are plain grey-brown. The thorax is a rusty-brown. The wingspan is about 4 cms.
