The adult moths of this species have streaky brown forewings each with a central dark broken line extending from the base, surmounting an elongated white spot in the middle. The hindwings are plain pale brown, darkening toward the margins. The wingspan is about 2.5 cms.

The species has been found in

  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
