The adult moths of this species are bluish-black with yellow dots and blotches. In museum specimens, the blue-black fades to brown. The wingspan is about 2 cms.


The species occurs in south-east Asia, including:

  • China,
  • India,
  • South Africa,
  • Taiwan,

    as well as in Australia in

  • Western Australia,
  • Northern Territory,
  • Queensland, and
  • New South Wales.
