Agrotera glycyphanes

The adult moth of this species has wings that are brown with a purple sheen, and have a cream and yellow pattern near the base. The wing margins are broadly chequered. The abdomen has cream and yellow banding, and a brown tip. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

The species has been found in Australia in

  • Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Queensland.

    Although the wing patterns are similar to those of other species of Agrotera, the structure of the genitalia is unique.
