These Caterpillars have been found feeding on the flowers and seeds of

  • Hoop Pine ( Araucaria cunninghamii, ARAUCARIACEAE ).

    The adult moths are yellow with a pattern of white, grey, black, pink, and blue on each forewing, although the colours fade to various shades of brown in museum specimens. The hindwings are plain brown. The hind margin of each wing is heavily fringed with hairs. The wingspan is about 1 cm.

    The species has been found in:

  • New Guinea,

    as well as in Australia in

  • Queensland, and
  • New South Wales.
