The adult moth of this species has yellow forewings, each with a dark brown base, a broad dark brown margin, and a dark brown line along much of the costa. The hindwings are off-white shading to brown at the wingtips. The head has a tuft of yellow hair. The moth has a wingspan of about 2 cms.

The species has been found in :

  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania, and
  • Western Australia.
