The adult moth of this species has grey or brown forewings, each with various markings including a partly broken dark transverse band, and a paler marginal half The hindwings are pale brown with a large dark area at the base. The wingspan is about 1.5 cms.

The species has been found in :

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania, and
  • South Australia.
