The adult moth of this species has black forewings that each with three partly joined yellow bands. The hindwings are yellow shading to grey at the margins. The head is yellow, and the thorax is black. The wingspan is about 1.5 cms.

The species has been found in :

  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania, and
  • Western Australia.

    The genus of this moth is controversial.
