The moths of this species have pale brown forewings, each with an alternating black and off-white streak along the wing, and black marks along the margin. The hindwings are brown. The labial palps are long, and are normally held curving upward in front of the head. The wingspan is about 2.3 cms.

The species is native to Australia, occurring in:

  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania, and
  • Western Australia.
