The adult moth of this species has grey-brown forewings, each with a number of dark spots. Sometimes there is a ragged pale patch extending along part of the hind-margin. The hindwings are brown. The head and thorax are dark brown.

The species has been found in

  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
