The moths of this species have forewings that are yellow, each with five ragged reddish brown bands, one at the base, and four which join to make two 'V' shapes: one inverted. The hindwings are fawn. The wingspan is about 1.2 cms.

This species does not belong in OECOPHORINAE, but so far no taxonomist has decided in what subfamily to place it.
