The female adult moth of this species has small narrow wings, and cannot fly. It is brown, with a vague white streak and a vague black streak along each forewing. It normally walks, and when harrassed: it runs. Its length is about 1 cm. Its wingspan is about 1.3 cms.
The male has pale brown forewings, each with dark speckles and a a long pale sub-costal area.
