Pierre Chretien Romain Constant Dumenil (born 1779) was a noted French artist and natural history illustrator. He frequently drew specimens and supervised engraving series for landmark scientific publications including articles by Jean-Baptiste Boisduval.

Dumenil worked with the Plée family of engravers: François Plée, his daughter Mlle Plée, and Léon Plée. The Plées were highly sought after in Paris for their meticulous copperplate and steel stipple engraving work, which required surgical precision to capture fine details
