The Mintern Brothers was a prominent firm of chromolithographers and printers based in Hart Street, Bloomsbury in London. They specialized in producing high-quality, hand-coloured or colour-printed scientific plates, particularly for 19th-century ornithological, zoological, and natural history works. Following the dissolution of Ford & West in 1858, George Henry Ford joined with the Mintern brothers in Bloomsbury.

They are famous for producing the John Gould Lithographs: magnificent illustrations of birds and birds of paradise, drawn and lithographed by artists like William Matthew Hart.

They collaborated closely with other notable natural history artists, such as John Gerrard Keulemans, producing prints for major scientific publications and expeditions, and particularly with Frederic C. Moore.

Robert was the main lithographer, Charles oversaw the printing shop, and latterly Ford worked side-by-side with them to ensure their colour-printing captured anatomical details perfectly.
