Frederic C. Moore was born, lived, and worked in London.
As an artist, his work included, at times, making drawings and preparing lithographs
of Lepidoptera specimens in the 1880's for learned articles by his father
Frederic Moore,
and by Charles Swinhoe,
and William Buckler.
He used the Mintern Brothers,
and West, Newman & Co.,
and
Vincent Brooks, Day & Son, London, to make chromo-lithographs
and print his pictures.
