Anstalt von Werner & Winter was a renowned German printing firm in Frankfurt am Main, first listed in 1871, founded by Georg Wilhelm Winter, with assistance from a Werner partner. After Georg's death in 1900, the firm was run by his son Fritz Winter.
The firm became famous for Chromolithography (multicolor lithographic printing) They specialised in scientific plates for zoology, ichthyology, entomology, and botany.
They were employed by a number of entomologists to draw, engrave, and print the illustrations in their multi-volume theses, including :
